I moved to here from India and oh my goodness, what a great experience I've had living here! The people are so friendly and the scenery is just so beautiful to wake up to. The bright sun on your face every day as you enjoy your morning coffee. The bread is being toasted as you take out the jelly from the shelf, spreading it on the bread knowing that you live in a beautiful city named Parkland. It sounds and feels like home. I just wish they put more side walks for humans to enjoy their daily dog walking and other sorts of traveling.
Parkland is a true community that has been brought together through pain and turned it into something greater. Back in 2018, the Parkland high school, MSD, lost 17 souls to a school shooting. Instead of this ripping apart the community, Parkland has grown stronger and more involved in ensuring our tragedy doesn't have to be anyone else's. I love participating in the community events and meeting people from around the area. Most importantly, I love giving back to the community in whatever ways I can.
I moved to Parkland about 4 years ago from Germany. I started as a freshman at Marjory Stoneman Douglas and graduated in 2021. I had many different experiences living in Parkland, some good and some bad. The area is quite nice and I believe perfect for families. However, it does not have many things to do. I do think the people are really nice and there are many opportunities when it comes to wanting to do jobs like babysitting, dog sitting, or other small tasks. After living here for quite some time, I have seen many differences between living in Parkland and Germany. If I had to say which one I prefer, I would have to say Germany.
