The area is a very positive, but competitive area to raise children. There are tons of activities and opportunities for kids to become involved and interact with each other in the area. There is always something interesting going on in town, or just around it. It revolves around the campus, and campus life.
Since this is a college town, there are drunk students and people, especially during event weekends like a football game. Sexual offenses is a common occurrence here, but police and the University are efficient and effective.
