Panama City Reviews
Panama city is small. We currently have no mall...actually, a lot of places around town have been closed and are under construction from Hurricane Michael. Frankly, it can get really boring around here. I know the town is really popular for its beaches but the beaches and main tourist attractions are a thirty minute drive over in Panama City Beach (it's surprising how many people never realize the difference). The best thing about Panama City is probably its people. We're not perfect down here, but we are open minded and accepting. The religious communities put a great deal of effort to make sure everyone is well connected and taken care of.
Living in Panama City for my entire life growing up, this seemed to be the place that was just predictable and easy to get around. However, everything changed after Hurricane Michael ripped through the city a couple of years ago. The only buildings left standing were the ones newly built. After a few years of hard work and community service, the city has been nearly rebuilt and has morphed into something greater than just a considerably small city with a little bit of everything. It became a historical landmark as everything around us symbolizes a city that was nearly wiped out but is now stronger than before. We've rightfully adopted the motto "850 Strong."
Panama City is a big tourist town but, believe it or not it is a small town to live in. There is a lot of outdoor activities for all ages. The beach is a go to for many people. Panama City is rapidly growing and congestion on major roadways have increased over the years. One thing that is happening that will improve this is the expansion of our roads. Less condos on the beach would be nice, the chance to just cruse down front beach and see the gulf is becoming slim to none. Overall, Panama City is a vibrant and small city with high hope for the future!
