Palmyra is a smaller town in Northern Missouri. In Palmyra, there is a population of roughly 4,500 people. With that being said, you know everyone in the town and are friendly with them. You will see at least five people you know if you go into the grocery store. While it's a smaller town, we take pride in our town. We have a wonderful park people come to from towns far out to enjoy. We also have excellent food options. Another excellent point about Palmyra is the schooling. We take academics seriously and take our sports just as seriously. Every year, many awards will be given to students for academics and for sports accomplishments. Palmyra never fails to be recognized for these achievements. A huge portion of people who are born here come back and live out the rest of their lives with their kids and grandkids in Palmyra. All forms of life can be found here, well preserved and valued. If help is needed, neighbors are always there to take care of you without questions.
Palmyra school district is rated in the top 10 for Missouri. It is a very strong community. If someone is in need, the whole community pulls together. There are several churches, Luthern, Catholic, Babtist, Methodist and a 3 other Christian churches. We have a beautiful park and they have lots of activities all summer long their. There is a very good pizza place, Breadeaux Pizza, a Subway, Hardees, a BBQ restaurant and Family Restaurant. We do need a couple more good restaurants.
Palmyra is a wonderful small town in Missouri. All though it might more on the expensive side, it’s only because of how many people are tying to find housing here currently. The school system is wonderful, and rated one of the top schools. The community is overall amazing.
