I love how Palmetto Bay is very diverse and in an excellent location with a variety of restaurants, malls and parks. Within 10 minutes or less of my house I can choose to eat out in 3 different Asian, Indian, Latin, Seafood, American and other restaurants or fast food places. Within 10 minutes or less I can go to 3 different malls and 3 different Home Depots for the DIY'S out there. My son and I ride bike along Old Cutler Rd on most weekends and with him I have discovered the nautical side of Palmetto Bay. There are trails that lead us out to the bay where he goes looking for fish and crabs and other critters. I love it here and highly recommend it.

I have practically grown up here. I always feel super safe when I go for walks or runs. Everyone is very friendly and are active citizens of the town. Really recommend raising a family in Palmetto Bay as the public schools are wonderful. I attended Coral Reef Elementary and Southwood Middle school and loved both! When I started High school I felt very prepared to succeed. Everything is relatively close having The Falls Mall only about a ten minute drive! Wouldn't want to call any other place home!
Palmetto Bay is a wonderful community. The homes are beautiful, and the schools are top rated. It is a residential area, so the nightlife is nonexistent, although there are some good restaurants available. There is very little diversity, which is a downside, but hopefully, that will change in the very near future.
