Pace is a very small, conservative, family-friendly suburb of Pensacola. The lack of traffic (I'm from Atlanta) is a huge benefit and proximity to the beach is wonderful! Pace is average in most every way except the kindness of its residents. Neighbors are friends and help each other, strangers say hello to each other, and if you are in need of help, there is a line of people available to ask. We moved to Florida a year ago and researched for months what city would be best for our family and Pace won the "contest". We think "Pace is the Place!"

We bought our home here in Pace 21+ years ago for $89,900 but retired about 8 years ago. What's not to like?

The Pace/Milton area, located about 20 miles from downtown Pensacola and about 35 miles from Pensacola Beach. Pace has top schools in the State, a military retirees dream and "plenty" to do. Homes/property tax and cost of living are well below national average. Great little secret here!
Average is the best way to describe my town. The windows from my high school display a cotton field across the street. Most people hunt and go to church on the weekends, and everyone's favorite fast food place is either Whataburger or Chick Fil La. This town is full of military families, and most of my friends wind up moving before the school year draws to a close. It's alright. This is a town that kids race to get out of, but wind up staying their entire lives. As for diversity, there's barely any. This town is primarily white Christians. You'd be lucky if you found a Catholic Church, for only baptists live among us.
