Oxbow/Hickson is a great place to live and grow up. There aren't many attractions, but it is a very quaint area to grow up with parks and softball diamond, and even a local bar to get some lunch.
We don't have a lot of tourist attractions here. We do have three colleges in the area, so local sports are popular, we have a strong summer of activities including Ribfest, WE Fest Outdoor Country Music Festival, Red River Valley Fair, etc. The FARGODOME brings in a great variety of concerts, trade shows, and sporting events.
Some people are really fit and exercise frequently, but we do have a lot of people who are overweight also.
