Oviedo is a great large suburban town for multiple reasons. There are two growing high schools with amazing reviews and teachers that perform the best in Seminole County. There is also many dining areas and options unique to the suburb such as the Townhouse. Oviedo also has a unique culture with its native chickens that roam around downtown. The people are also super kind and helpful no matter where you turn. The hangout spot of Oviedo On The Park is also newly renovated and has numerous activities and family events almost every Saturday, including Oktoberfest, Christmas and other holiday activities including a parade in December, and more!

I have loved living in Oviedo for the past six years. It offers the amenities of a college town including trendy restaurants and coffee shops. My town is also very safe with active neighborhood watches, patrolling police, and ample lighting throughout the neighborhoods. Personally, I feel safe running the neighborhoods during early or late hours. A big advantage that Oviedo has compared to other places is its close proximity to the beach, hiking trails, springs, lakes, and amusement parks and concert venues. The aesthetics of the town are lovely as well with palm trees and landscaped gardens. The homey downtown even features a chicken crosswalk. The residents of Oviedo themselves are loving, diverse, and welcoming. The town is a great mix of young college students, families, and senior citizens. All in all, I have cherished growing up here with such amazing people in such an amazing place.
I didn't expect it to be, considering how hectic Orlando itself can be, but Oviedo turned out to be a really cozy place to live in. It doesn't have the crazy amount of traffic Orlando has, and there's still plenty places in the area to hang out with friends and eat delicious food!
