Oshkosh has become a new home for me. The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh is very accommodating to student needs, provides a variety of resources, and my professors have all communicated well and have been very easy to contact and ask for some help! Most people are very friendly, polite, and social. The cost of living here is fairly cheap compared to many places, and downtown Oshkosh is beautiful! Main Street in Oshkosh is home to stunning, aged, brick buildings, amazing small businesses, great night life, and Farmer's Market! I find that I don't typically run out of things to do here.

When moving to this area I befriended so many people. Everyone is super friendly. Oshkosh is slowly growing and becoming more diverse. I would say overall it’s a nice little city to raise a family . Crime wise it is a very safe little city. People may say that crime has gone way up etc. but u need to remember when population goes up statistics go up and with social media every little incident is broadcasted . Oshkosh is known as event city and they definitely have tons of events throughout the warm months and even in the winter months . Winter time here is pretty boring unless u r a hunter/fisherman, enjoy winter recreational activities or love the night life . If u love the night life then u will love Oshkosh. Oshkosh has many bars throughout including some neighborhood bars . Oshkosh is pet and kid friendly. Super affordable and conveniently located. Oshkosh is close enough to Green Bay , Milwaukee, Madison and even close enough to Chicago and the twin cities (3-4 hours drive)
Oshkosh is a great place to live, especially with children as Oshkosh has a lot of great playgrounds and museums for kids. There is also a lot of great places to shop like the Outlet Mall. The only thing that sucks is all the construction that seems to be everywhere you turn, but that comes with pretty much anywhere you live!
