Even though Osceola is a small town and does not seem like much it certainly has a surprise when you get to know the town. The community as a whole is amazing, with living in a small town you know almost everyone and you know everyone is there to support and help you through anything. Like for example, I am a senior this year and due to COVID-19, I didn't have the right of passage as all the classes before I had with graduation. On the day my class was supposed to graduate the community set up a parade and let the seniors go though, it was such an amazing experience. I felt like celebrating again even though everything was almost taken and that was all from the community of Osceola. Another example is Friday Night Football games, you would be shocked to see how many people from the community come out every Friday in the fall and support our Highschool teams and not just Football. That is why I give this town 5 stars because no matter what this town is always there for you.

I have lived in Osceola, Wisconsin for about 2 years. I love living in the beautiful town along the river. As a local volunteer EMT and First Responder I am involved with the community frequently and everyone is so friendly and grateful, even on their worst days. It is a small community where everyone knows each other, you can go to the grocery store and always find people waving, smiling and chatting. The town sits on the bluffs where you can look over the beautiful St. Croix River. There are many hiking trails, a beautiful waterfall and even a train ride the provides history about the town and river. If I could change one think about the town it would be the increased use of drugs in the area. As an EMT in the community I am on the front lines of seeing the increased use of drugs in the area. The increased use of drugs is bringing fear to the members of the community; fear of leaving their kids home alone, leaving the door unlocked or even going out for an evening stroll.
I grew up in Osceola. My parents chose this town because of how safe it was, and the schools had better academics than surrounding schools. I have loved growing up here with all the beautiful nature opportunities from the waterfall in town to hiking in interstate to kayaking down the St Croix River.
