Osage Beach Reviews

I liked living in the area because there are a lot of job opportunities, and an extended Columbia college campus close by. Many of the jobs are seasonal (summer) so I could work all summer and attend classes during the winter (layoff) months. The recent highway project, however, has had a negative effect on the small businesses. The new freeway has bypassed many local businesses and has sadly forced them to close. I would really like to see more rental houses in the area (I do not like apartments). The lake of the Ozarks is absolutely beautiful but I wish there was better access to it for locals who do not own lake property. Osage Beach used to be cram packed with tourists before the freeway project, now it is beginning to look like a ghost town. I would like to see this fine city thrive again!

It is a growing tourist town, but it is out in the middle of the Ozarks. It has many hills and is hard to find apartments to live in.
This is a nice community with a variety of businesses and residential areas. There is little crime in Osage Beach and is a very nice place to live. Osage Beach is a major tourists city but usually only in the summer.
