Orem Utah is a very exciting place to live right now. Over the last few years, the city has been growing extremely fast. A major factor to that is the growth of Utah Valley University. UVU is great university that offers many degrees, has a great staff, and is open enrollment which allows many more people an opportunity to gain a college education. I am a student at UVU

With people pouring in from all over the country, Orem provides a great diverse culture, for those that find that important. For those who want a great place to live, Orem is one of the most family friendly places in the country. This has to do with the large religious influence in the region. For those looking for business, business is thriving in this area, I see new buildings all the time!

Orem offers activities for all age groups. From sports, to late night outings, there is always something to do. Orem is home of the great University Mall which offers just about everything to satisfy your shopping needs.

I love Orem, I maybe bias since I grew up here. Over all it's such a well rounded town. There are families who have lived here forever, a University that brings in a lot of college students from all over and people who end up staying and having young kids. It's not a huge city or a small town but the characteristics of having tons of restaurants, parks and a Mall makes it so there's always plenty to do giving it a city vibe. Then the neighboring canyon and lake allows for the outdoorsy small town people that vibe as well. Highly recommend as a great place to live in Utah county!
Orem is way too big and I did not feel very safe there. I loved being able to easily walk to places, but there were a lot of break ins and assaults near where we lived (by Target). When we started having kids, we did not feel like it was a nice place to raise kids and moved. One of their high schools also fairly recently had a school shooting after we moved. It is much nicer than many cities of its size or larger, but we really wanted something smaller and a close-knit community. Locations and amenities are great but traffic is crazy and there is always road construction, so we tried to walk as much as possible since it was often faster or easier. Also, they have stuffed a ton of people in a small area, so it feels very congested and yards are pretty small so you are really close to your neighbors. Their library is amazing though- so big! It has its perks, but I would never choose to move there again.
