Orem, Utah is a great place to live! There are plenty of houses and apartments to live in, schools and a university to attend, and plenty of local businesses to support. There are plenty of parks and fun activities to attend and lots of delicious food places. It is family friendly, and definitely brings a good sense of community! I love living in Orem!
I love Orem! I love the people that have helped it become what and who it is.
At a municipal level, I'm grateful for former Mayors, commissioners, council members, and city staff that through years of service, employment, planning, and implementation have brought so many opportunities to our city. From revitalizing University Mall, helping make UVX a reality, creating places to enjoy like the Nielsen Grove Park and All Together Play Ground, being the home of UVU - one of the top schools in the State, watching a temple go up in our back yard, to planning for our future by working hard today.
I personally think that the staff of Orem City are some of the finest people in the world. Many of them are simply the best of the best. Our City Manager, Jamie Davidson has been an example of leadership, work, courage, friendship, and vision. He has built a team of people who are the brightest and most competent in their fields, and who truly care for the city with whom they work and serve.

Overall living in Orem is not too bad. If you need something, you'll be able to find it as the city is rather large and has just about everything someone needs. However, cost of living here is very high and continues to increase during this economic crisis the country is currently facing. The city government is something that I would really love to see change in. The state and the city has been predominantly republican and focuses on unnecessary and often hateful situations such as removing books that positively portray members of the LGBTQ+ community from the children's section of the library. More bipartisanship from the city government and focus on actual problems would be something that would make this city great, but otherwise it's pretty average here in Orem.
