Small town, I grew up here, so I can definitely give an accurate review. Not much to do, but the town is quaint and is definitely growing. I went to school here and I must say, there is a enormous drug problem here. And it is not spoken about. It's a small town so there isn't much to do, which causes kids to get into trouble. The school really tries to keep kids in line but it's hard. I do not blame the school district but rather the parents and lack of responsibility. It's not too expensive to live here, rent is moderate, much cheaper than Madison! There is a great coffee shop(The Firefly) and wonderful local businesses(Maria's Pizza, Academy of Sound & Senor Peppers ). I do not live here any more, but frequently visit since my family lives here. Overall it is a good place to live. Nearby towns like Stoughton, Edgerton or Janesville are much much worse. If I had children I would choose this town over those ones for sure!

Oregon is a little town outside of Madison, WI. The schools here are very good. The community has a friendly atmosphere. There are lots of parks and open spaces for families to take advantage of. There are several opportunities for community sports for kids of most ages. Summer school here is very robust. There is a nice variety of small, family owned restaurants.
I like that it's a safe and quiet place to live, it is close to the capital where there's lots of stuff to do, and that there are a lot of parks and natural areas in or around Oregon. I've lived here my whole life so it feels very much like home to me. Some things I think would improve Oregon would be having more big businesses and varieties of restaurants. This would bring more people to Oregon and provide more job opportunities for Oregon residents. Another suggestion I would make to improve Oregon would be having more community events such as local farmers markets in the spring and summer.
