The area is ok. It has grown a lot over the years & has has become very busy over the years. Traffic has gotten worse with the developments of commercial and residential to the north and east of the area. The housing crisis does effect the whole city of Vancouver, which has led to many homeless people showing up more in this area, also increasing minor crime such as theft and burglary. The other bad part is that this area is part of Evergreen School District. I attended this district as a kid and now my kids attend this district and I hate it. Too many issues with the district in my opinion. From staff turning blind eyes to the bullying, drugs, just all around bad education, etc. I managed to get 1 child into another district and he is doing much better now. Overall, Even though Vancouver is my home city where I was born and raised, it's not Vancouver anymore and I cant wait to be able to leave this area and start new and fresh somewhere new.

It is beautiful here! Sure it rains a lot but that's what keeps it so green! I can drive east and hit mountains! I can go skiing and play in snow. I can drive west and be at a beach in a matter of hours. It's interesting being close to Portland just because of the interesting people that inhabit the area. (Keep Portland Weird!) I think it is a great place to live. Fresh air constantly. I would choose to live here if I had to do it all over again. It's definitely one of the best states in the country! I see some big change for this area, but good changeable, helpful change.
This is a very nice area to have a family. It is up and coming, new buildings/businesses are always coming up. Clark county it's self is to expensive to live. You can find a better home with more square footage and land at a better price than you can in Clark County. I plan on purchasing outside this county, and to also have land a possibly have a farm. A lot of people from California are coming up into this area which is raising the prices throughout the county. I do love how ever being close to the Columbia Gorge and being able to hike in beautiful places so close to home.
