I would love to see more volunteers and community events! I believe the one trait that Onsted lacks, is the enthusiasm. There isn’t much to do around town and it almost seems dead at times, unfortunately.

Onsted itself is a relatively pleasant town. Many of the residents are 50+ years of age, while most students live within a 20-mile radius of the town. The school is one of the largest problems, funds are used wastefully, many books are several years old, the teaching staff is continuously shrinking, many rooms appear old and damaged, the administration rarely steps in to aid students that are being bullied, and all extracurricular activities, save athletics, are under-funded and dismissed. The town itself has a grocery store, hardware store, pizza joint, an American Legion, a salon, and a few other smaller businesses.
I have lived in Onsted all of my life. Attending school in Onsted was nice, the class sizes were decent. The teachers were able to give more 1-on-1 time with students due to class size. Near the town of Onsted there are several lakes, which is nice for the summer time. Some negatives about Onsted is, there are not many jobs here, you have to drive 20+ mins to get to work. There is not much to do in Onsted. The town is roughly 2 miles long. I would not recommend living in Onsted.
