I really like all of the options that Thurston County offers in terms of education. There are obviously things that can still be improved on, but we have multiple alternative education schools, and several ways to take charge of your elementrary-high school education within those schools. I also really like the arts education options for students!
The best things about Olympia are its coffee and sightseeing! There are dozens of coffee shops and stands that cater to just about every taste imaginable! While you enjoy your cup of hot joe, a walk down 4th Ave will show you all of the small businesses and bars that Olympian s love. A stroll along the waterfront provides beautiful views of the puget sound and often hosts entertaining events such as sand building contests. The water fountain is a childhood favorite of many, and kids enjoy it every summer. Nestled on Capital Lake is our glorious Capital building. They host tours of this beautiful building and is highly recommended. Olympia brings diversity, culture and fun no matter your age.
