The best things about Olympia are its coffee and sightseeing! There are dozens of coffee shops and stands that cater to just about every taste imaginable! While you enjoy your cup of hot joe, a walk down 4th Ave will show you all of the small businesses and bars that Olympian s love. A stroll along the waterfront provides beautiful views of the puget sound and often hosts entertaining events such as sand building contests. The water fountain is a childhood favorite of many, and kids enjoy it every summer. Nestled on Capital Lake is our glorious Capital building. They host tours of this beautiful building and is highly recommended. Olympia brings diversity, culture and fun no matter your age.

Washington's state Capital, Good bicycle city, well developed bike trails and bike lanes. Nice shopping area downtown (2 bike shops) with good on the street parking. There are total of six bike shops in the Olympia area (Olympia, Tumwater and Lacey) and all of them have been open for many years and provide great customer service for the community.
There is also a good arts community in Olympia, there are two big arts walks each year and lots of theater and live music opportunities. Nice area!
There was a great sense of community in Olympia. People are very accepting and friendly. The public schools are nationally recognized and provide well-rounded educations, as well as multiple opportunities for students to explore their interests and prepare for life after graduation. There are many places to go hiking and camping, both in the immediate area and several miles away. Olympia contains a lot of stores that provide most of the items that one could need, including dozens of chain and local restaurants. Overall, I had a great experience living there and I plan on visiting again soon.
