Olivehurst is a decent place, stores are close by, yet the place seems a bit conservative. Although, it isn't really such a problem being surrounded by people with distinct views. The issues actually not run within the individual, but the composition of the city itself. There is a lack amount of sidewalks, mostly its just car lanes and bike lanes. What I would like for a change around here is increase the amount of sidewalks. That how we feel safe walking on the side of the roads because of the designated space that allows us to walk without the constant tension between the individual and the car. Generally speaking, it's the composition of the city that is a bit lack luster and requires more construction. Especially, walking on the side of the road.
If to simply gaze upon the conditions complementary to that of my community, a rural facade is feasibly discerned. Yet, I have a fondness for the inhabitants as a whole due to an implied unity amongst individuals who are susceptible to similar circumstances. My friends and peers possess an immense inclination to surpass their financial limitations by pursuing an education and or vocation exceeding that of the opportunities presented to their parents who are primarily, in this area, immigrants. We have strived to improve upon the community utilizing the methods presented to us simply as high school students; we voluntarily sacrifice our weekends and free time to be of service. Nonetheless, improvements I would be happy to see actualized are in compliance with that of an increase in leisure activities, a less prominent homeless and or poverty issue, as well as extended opportunities presented to individuals who strive to better themselves.
The area is mostly low income and people need financial help. Lucky, there are a few volunteer organizations helping by cleaning up trash, feeding the homeless, etc. There is some gang activity, and problems in schools. The community should come together to improve Olivehurst.
