Old Orchard Beach Reviews
Undoubtfully I am admittedly biased. This is the town I've grown up and still currently live in. On a linear level, this town is the poster child for Maine, titled, "Vacationland". During the school season, the area is stiff. Few live here year-round. Compare the fall and winter to the summer, and you can see a drastic difference. The nature of this town in the summer is completely opposite to the off-season. There are several tourists, community events that take place, restaurants, an amusement park, and what magnetizes tourists here; the beach. I have met at least half of my friends from families that recurringly vacation up to OOB. Despite how stagnant this town is during the fall and winter, every summer makes up for it.
Great place to live in both the tourist summer season and the off-season! Lots to do that you wouldn't typically find outside of OOB. Arcade, long walks on the beach, affordable rent. Great restaurants and nightlife.
What I like about living and going to school in Old Orchard Beach is that it is a loving community. Everyone supports each other and is aways willing to lead a hand so someone in need. The only thing I would like to see happen in the town, is to have it become more lively during the winter and fall months. During the summer there is many wonderful things to do for fun and entertainment but during the winter it is more dull and quiet. The school systems in OOB are great and the teachers and students really make it feel like one big family where you matter.
