I greatly enjoy the community of Okanogan. Everyone is very friendly towards each other and treats friends as family. People here do not disregard you just because of your interests or hobbies, they judge you on your personality, making it easy to get along with others.

I moved here from a town about 50 miles North hoping to save money on our daily commute and have regretted the decision for the past 3 years and am actively searching for a position out of the area to get out. The neighborhoods are t nice, there’s druggies everywhere, our own house was broken into at 2:30 in the morning a few weeks ago while we were sleeping. There are only a handful of restaurants, one major store to shop(Walmart) and the people aren’t the friendliest. I’m originally from Northern California where there are mass amounts of people and never had to deal with the amount of blatant disrespect from strangers as I’ve dealt with here. The only redeeming quality of this town are the small businesses. If you’re planning on moving here, I’d look at surrounding areas first, definitely not Omak either..it’s just as bad.
Nothing to do and no work
