Newburgh is a small, middle to upper class community on the outskirts of Evansville, Indiana. Most families choose Newburgh because the schools are great. It costs more to live in Newburgh due to higher property taxes and higher priced goods. But most residents of our town feel it is worth it to live here. The downtown area is quaint and has cool shops. By contrast, the area closer to the highway has some chain stores and restaurants. We are close enough to visit Evansville in minutes, but keep our small town feel. I will definitely consider raising a family here, depending on the job market at that time.

This area although large, is small. When you live in Newburgh most everyone knows each other. Everyone who lives in this town goes to Castle, unless they switch districts. The school in Newburgh is an A rated high school and the town itself although does have some crime, is not anything that makes me feel to unsafe. There isn't much to do around our town, therefore if I had a chance to move I would probably take that opportunity, but many people do move, and come back to their hometown of Newburgh.
My community is very close and active. We have community get togethers, cook outs, and pool parties about once a month. All of us coming together once a month brings our neighborhood closer because this gives everyone a chance to get to know each other better. We also get the opportunity to meet new neighbors and socialize with many different types of people. My community is a safe and friendly environment. We plan on staying here for a while.
