Working in Oglesby
Based on employment rates, job and business growth, and cost of living.
Oglesby is a small, quiet town located 20 miles outside of Waco ,TX. Not much is offered in the forms of entertainment, shopping or night life but it is only a 20 minute drive to partake in any of those activities. Cost of living is low due to being just outside of McLennan county and subject to Coryell counties lower tax rates. The local school offers more 1:1 teaching because of low classroom volumes. Normal graduating class is 10-15 individuals. Oglesby has a few amenities such as a bank, a post office and now a family owned store where you can pick up a few necessities or grab a bite to eat from the awesome grill. Probably the best burger and fries in central TX! My experience with this community is a positive one for sure. People are friendly and not many don’t know your name.
I would recommend for anybody to live in this area. It's out of the way of city life, but it's close enough if you need to go to the store.
As long as I've lived here I haven't heard of anything illegal going on. It's mostly an older community so there's not a lot of crime.
