Ogdensburg Reviews
Rating 3.07 out of 5 14 reviews
The area geographically is beautiful, situated along two rivers that meet up. There is so much potential however most of the city is undeveloped, vacant or run down. City taxes are very high while services continue to be cut to try and balance the budget. New ideas and business ventures are not well received or supported. There is very little for children and families to do without having to travel. There are a lot of water sports to be enjoyed for the people who can afford it and in the winter many people take advantage of the snow for winter recreation as well. The city could be amazing with the the right vision and investments. One of the best parts of the city and even neighboring towns is it's very much a small supportive community that bands together to help those in need, and rally behind our youth for school sports and programs. You can't walk into a grocery store or restaurant without knowing at least half the people you encounter and "catching up" while running errands.
Average place to live.. Wonderful scenery. Population has been getting more diverse. Some things could be updated, as any place. Different parts of town are getting worse than others, but for the most part. It's home.
