The people in my town are very involved. It is a close knit community and everyone knows everyone. There is always something going on whether its events at the campground, library, or a sports game. I feel safe leaving my doors unlocked and going for a walk any time of day. I work at a local restaurant and see the majority of the town everyday and everyone seems very friendly.

The town of Oconto has the potential to see real development and be a thriving community. As of now, however, issues with drugs are beginning to really hinder the safety and quality of living in the area.
Oconto is a small community that is very tight knit. You can really immerse yourself by supporting the school events. High school sports pull in a good portion of the population, so keep in mind that you should go to all sports events.
