Working in Ocilla
Overall Ocilla is a good, safe place to raise a family. I think the schools are great. There is a lack of restauraunts and activities to do with the family. Ocilla would benefit from any kind of recreational center where the kids can go do activities with their family, such as skating, watching movies, playing games, fishing, etc. There is nothing exciting to do in our town and bringing something to town would be a great opportunity.
Ocilla is a nice small town home of the Irwin County Indians. The community is very helpful and all about the children and students adulting to a new life. Yes it is small but we have great food and sweet tea for travelers!
I like the small town feeling, but would like to see some growth for children. We need something for children to do year round. As a small farm town, we celebrate football, and have the annual Sweet Potato Parade.
