No businesses open, jobs, or opportunities. Just a dying town with nothing to do. One grocery store, three pizza places, a McDonald’s, Taco Bell, dollar store, churches, and gas stations. It’s an hour drive to go somewhere to do decent shopping or go to the movies.

My experience this past year living in Oceana, I love the atmosphere of the small town life. I love how everyone knows everyone and in times of crisis no matter what disagreements may stand, everyone comes together to be there for one another. I think the drug population could be better controlled. I also think that schools need more funding, especially in the area of special education programs.
I would like to see the community be given support instead of judgement. I have always lived in Oceana and for the most part the people are friendly and helpful.
