The state of Mississippi generally has a poor reputation for many reasons, but when you visit our little corner of the state in Ocean Springs, you can easily see that we Mississippians are just a little bit misunderstood. We may not have the fanciest stores or prettiest beaches you've ever seen, but we do have our hidden gems; the most prized treasure we have to offer is our hospitality. Our quality of people is something that money cannot buy. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy traveling and experiencing new places, cultures, people, and more, but it's always nice to have that "coming home" feeling - especially when you're a part of such an amazing community.

Ocean Springs is one of the top cities to live in Mississippi. The downtown is very quaint and has an abundance of local shops and restaurants. Supporting local businesses is very important to the town. the chamber of commerce and other organizations put on several festivals during the year, including the famous Peter Anderson Festival. Ocean Springs was the home of Walter Anderson, and there is a museum displaying his work and accomplishments.

The community is a great place to raise children and is known for its friendliness.

Ocean Springs also has great beaches that are not crowded and is a walking community.
Ocean Springs is a well-rounded community. The variety of restaurants always makes downtown Ocean Springs a favorite place for a weekend on the town. The traffic is usually light. The community goes all out on holidays, with grand decorations during the Christmas season. Throughout the year, events such as the Peterson-Andrewson festival highlight the town's greatest parts and brings the community together. Overall, I have had a good experience in Ocean Springs.
