Not much crime. Although last year, my family's cars tires and windows got slashed numerous times. Resulted in us paying thousands of dollars in repairs and new tires. The cops refused to cooperate and wouldn't even call us back to fill out a report or come look at our security camera's recording.

It's close to Portland and the light-rail makes gives easy access to the city. Though it's far enough away that it doesn't have the crime and drug problems that the city has. You can go into the busy city during the day and do basically whatever you want, but then you can come back to the nice safe suburb at night.
There are some places in Portland that have a higher crime rate than others. Safety ranges throughout those areas. Sometimes police officers don't respond or pay attention to the things that need the most help or action required. They go after the less severe attention problems first which is sometimes a problem
