Friendly Neighborhoods, clean air, quiet nights. Affordable living with close access to freeways. Some night life but quiet for the most part. Love living here!

I just bought my first house in Oakley. The schools are great and our neighborhood is family friendly and safe. The commute to work is a bit rough on Highway 4, but it's worth it to live in a safe, affordable place. It's close to the Delta, for boating during the summer. There's some good restaurants nearby, and lot's of shopping! We love it so far.
I like the size of this suburban city. The free movies held each month at downtown appropriate for any change is well-inviting. Although it's a bit quiet at times, small city feel, you'll soon learn to love and appreciate. You will often run into people you know of in stores. Lots of family and pet-friendly parks and quiet neighborhoods. It is clean and well maintained. It is diverse and you close to public schools, some even walking distance. Although there is not much to do at night, although I wish there is a 24 hour hangout place for when college students come back to visit.
