Oakdale California is a really friendly, agricultural, small town that’s all done building houses. It’s a great place to raise a family. It’s close enough to Modesto to have everything close without having to live with all the down sides of a bigger city. Lots of community involvement in everything. You may definitely hear “hey! I didn’t see you at the football game on a Friday night “ around here... it’s definitely a Friday night lights kind of town that things shut down for!

I love this town! I've lived here my whole life. Here in Oakdale, we have a diverse yet close-knit community. Our Public Schools are great and being a one high school town we have tremendous support from the community. I will admit the nightlife is average but we have our fair share of bars and other amenities. Being a small country community we are perfectly situated between the city of Modesto and we are the gateway to the mountains so you have an adventure on either side. The river, rodeo, knights ferry, and of course football games can aid in your entertainment. We have low levels of crime and the conservative-leaning town keeps it quite. Jobs can be found and if your looking for a place to raise a family you've found it.
I love Oakdale! We have a city counsel that is very active in the community as well as our police/fire department being attentive & interactive with the people. It is a wonderful small town to raise kids in, an incredible opportunity for small business owners, and it is an ideal location being a few hours form mountains or ocean!
