I grew up in and around Oakdale. The city has potential, but its growth is stunted by a skewed economic system. A few families own most of the businesses and much of the housing and freely strangle any attempt at business growth and developement.

Oakdale is a very small community but super friendly. Members of the town are quick to help one another when in need. I love that our town stands side by side with one another. The only thing I would like to see change would be for the youth to have more organized activities. An after school program would be great for the teenagers.
It is my opinion that this city would be a terrible place to live, if it were not for the fact that the greatest church in America is hidden here.
