Norwalk is a city that is close to NYC so it is a bit expensive to live, but like all cities it has it's more expensive areas. It has stores, mall, places to eat could improve. Norwalk was much better when I was younger. It is continued to grow with more and more housing being built and needs more economical housing. It has just grown more and more into a city, suburb of New York City so many people commute to the city if that is where they work. Transportation is very good regarding public transportation, and for those with disabilities and the elderly. There are trains. The Norwalk public school district has been doing a very good job with COVID-19. The children have the needed supplies, food is given out every weekend. Contact tracing, sanitizing. All and all I have felt that Norwalk schools help children with special needs and overall have good teachers.
I’ve lived in Norwalk, CT my whole life and it’s pretty okay. There is a good amount of diversity, the education system is pretty good, it’s pretty clean, it’s relatively safe, it’s quiet, almost everyone knows each other, and people are nice for the most part. However, there’s not much to do, the roads need some fixing, and the cost of living is kind of expensive. They did open a new mall downtown which is pretty nice and has opened some new job opportunities, but it mostly meant for the “wealthier” people in this town. However, there is good amount of nightlife downtown and good local businesses that have good service. The authorities such as the police and firefighters are pretty nice to everybody and respond quickly. Everyone is nice but keep to them selves, so don’t expect them to say hello while walking by because they most likely want to do their own thing. It’s LGBTQ+ friendly as well and most people are accepting towards each other.
Norwalk has divers’ restaurants that are truly culture captivating. The town is kept clean. They have now added more shopping centers including a mall. This offers different job opportunities. This is also a grate town to have a business in as many people in Norwalk enjoy shopping. Norwalk offers great schools. a well-known college in Connecticut is Norwalk Community College which offers many opportunities ranging from up tanning an associate degree with minors, certificate programs, and special licensing courses. The college credits also transfer at all the major colleges. Although some people argue that it is an expensive town to live in it is known to be a safe and respected town. The houses hold their value (good investment opportunity).
