Northwood is a small, quiet, drive-by town in New Hampshire. It is in a mostly wooded area except for where the businesses are along route four. The stores are more antique and sell collectibles, or exotic things as the town is primarily a stop for people traveling who happen to pass by. Most of the residents I have met in my time here have been relatively nice people. The majority of the people who live in Northwood are on the older side, and there is not much in town to do for kids. However, there are plenty of events held at the library for younger children. Co-Brown Highschool is in Northwood which is very well known in the greater area.
I lived in Northwood since I was born. It is such a great small town with a half hour distance to either Concord or Portsmouth or Rochester. It is right in the middle. It's perfect! The Elementary School is not the greatest but the high school, Coe-Brown Northwood Academy, is one of the best in the state for education.
The town is nice and fairly quiet during the other seasons. During the summer however it picks up, which can be good. At least there are local beaches that only residents have access to, so we can avoid the tourists if we want. The local market can be a great place to meet new people from all over, giving the sleepy town some form of excitement.
It is an okay town with nothing much to do, but it has a good school system and good people. It also has many good restaurants.
There are little places in town, everything else is about half hour away
Not many big corporations near by
