I've lived in Northumberland all my life. Our town and the city of Sunbury converged in the early 70's to form the school district of Shikellamy. To this day, there is still a feeling of Northumberland vs Sunbury. The people of Northumberland are proud of their Historic site of the Joseph Priestley House and their week long Pineknotter Days over the 4th of July. What people will tend to complain about is that there's not much exciting things to do around Northumberland. However, most residents enjoy this aspect of the town.
It is a nice neighborhood to grow up in and the people are friendly.
It's an ok place to live but is not my first choice
