North Reading is a welcoming town that offers many opportunities for families. The public schools are great and the teachers are excellent. There are plenty of resources for families and the youth sport systems are outstanding. Not far from Boston, if there is no traffic, close to both I95 and 93. There are a couple of good places to eat in town, I recommend the Horseshoe. There is an outdoor mall the town over in Lynn field and the North shore mall is close also. There are some nice parks in town as well as Harold Parker, which is a state forest.

My family recently moved to North Reading and its gorgeous. I love just driving around the city and looking at all the neighborhoods and houses. The schools are great too!
Small town with great school system. The superintendent, once the principal of NRHS, is a very motivated and driven man. He is determined to make the best of the education system in North Reading and the improvements made since graduation have been tremendously helpful to the current students. The town is small enough where people are familiar with one another, friendly, and accepting. The nightlife is nonexistent though North Reading is close enough to near towns and cities that have better activities. North Reading is extremely safe, many of those in the police department are from NR and therefore take the safety of their residents quite seriously. They are sincere and active in participating in town events. The cost of living is somewhat expensive though worth it for families who are looking for a strong public education system.
