I love North Massapequa. The neighbors are great everyone helps each other during the winter months with shoveling. Everyone watches each others homes. Streets need some repair but overall good. School district is great, always updated and trying to get the children advanced in education.

I went to Plainedge High School. Taxes are considerably high for the area. Mostly suburbs and not many stores however 135 and Southern State Parkway run through the town.
It's a large town with plenty to do just a few miles away. You're never further than a mile from something good to eat, and the preserve is a popular selling point as well. The schools are also highly rated by the students as well offering an array of AP and college courses that kids can pick at their disposal. Overall a great town filled with even better people.
