Great place to live. Nice parks and trails. Great schools. Many churches available. Beautiful town
Great hiking places and lots of nature with a town of a decent size to accommodate it. Not much of a night life around here but there are things to do beside drinking
I love the quiet, reserved feel of North Mankato while being so close to the jobs and entertainment within Mankato.
Very nice city, all the aspects of this city are ideal for young families, college students, older couples, and young couples.
North Mankato has all of the small town feel with the benefits of being close to larger cities. There are lots of activities for all walks of life.
I have lived here for about 5 years and it is safe. Very residential and there is easy access to Mankato.
North Mankato is a beautiful town filled with a lot of opportunity. The nature is gorgeous and is one of my favorite features. The schools are fairly easily accessible thanks to North Mankato's smaller size, and there are plenty of restaurants and places to shop as well. The North Mankato library is a fantastic place. The town is fairly quiet but also has plenty of fun events periodically. The parks are great. Being right next to the larger Mankato also gives North Mankato residents even more opportunity, including a variety of colleges/universities.
The neighborhoods in North Mankato are all very safe communities to live in. I would like for there to be more things to do in the area.
This is a suburb of Mankato and it has lots to offer. There are bars, restaurants like Mexican, Chinese, and Pizza, gas stations, and other places to visit here. There are many parks to visit also. They host Fun days which is like a mini fair with rides, games, food, parade, and entertainment. There is low crime rates, tax rates for homes all depend where they are located, there are great elementary schools for your children to attend. They seem friendly and South Central College is located here.
Mankato is a star city in MN and growing rapidly
The police are friendly, there's not too much crime here. Very safe neighborhoods
College town, lots of things to do, friendly people
Housing generally cheaper than the twin cities, but the average wage is much lower here. Most rental properties are cycled through by college students so damage is high, so landlord tend not to care for them. Farther from campus you go, the better the prices and tends to be much more quiet.
Crime has been more and more visible over the last few years, But the police presence on campus is generally very responsive.
Mankato has really been expanding over the last few years. I prefer living here over the city because of the lower amounts of traffic and the more peaceful setting.
When being compared to the whole country it is an okay place to live. There are parks, a river, and snow sport mountain, and tons of restaurants and things to do because it is a college town. Not much traffic and a very homey atmosphere.
Mankato/North Mankato is a great place to live, work and raise children. Friendly small town feeling, yet large enough to have everything you'd want in a city and close enough to Twin Cities.
