Lynnwood is a fantastic suburb to live in! It has great local shopping centers, fantastic food/restaurant selection. Lynnwood is apart of the Edmonds School District which has a broad demographics and instructors care about all parts of student academics, athletics and extra curricular activities. Cost of living in Lynnwood is pretty reasonable for the location, as it has easy access to both major highways in the greater-Seattle area. Also easy access to Boeing. Over-all Lynnwood is a great location, for raising a family.

Alderwood Mall is nearby, as well as well-maintained movie theaters, for entertainment. One thing that's great in Lynnwood is the Korean food. The Korean restaurants are top-notch and H-Mart is a great Korean/Asian mart. In nearby Edmonds are even more Korean shops, restaurants, etc. There isn't much to do past 8pm, so if you want to enjoy the nightlife you'll have to drive to Ballard, Capitol Hill, Belltown, etc., all of which will mean you're driving 30-40 min home after a long night. Furthermore, the restaurant selection is very small compared to other parts of Washington, such as Capitol Hill or even Northgate. Eating healthy is not an easy feat unless you eat in for every meal. That being said, it's much more cost-effective and there are nearby schools like Edmonds CC and Everett CC if you're going to school. There are multiple grocery shops, gas stations, restaurants, post offices, shopping centers, etc. within 10 minutes driving.
I love this area. Shopping, public transit are good and everyone takes advantage of being outside. Only an hour from the mountains and many lakes are less than an hour away.
The area is diverse which is a great way to make friends from many backgrounds. The are is also close to Seattle and Bellevue for entertainment the arts.
