North Lynnwood Reviews
Rating 3.84 out of 5 44 reviews
The great area located north of Seattle. Large shopping mall with lots of options within and outside of the vicinity. Lots of diversity regarding food, and eateries local to the area. Lots of education facilities. A good amount of outdoor activity options. Close to both major freeways to provide easy access to Seattle and Bellevue WA. Near the ocean, and accommodated with many lakes too.
In North Lynnwood, you can find somewhat afforable homes and you are still only 20 minutes to Seattle without traffic. However, our area north and south is definitely impacted by the opioid and homeless epidemic which increases crime. To mitigate that, I joined our HOA and encouraged our neighbors to vote to have a neighborhood security system, also, through accountability; one of our neighbors which was a drug dealer, he saw our seriousness to clean up the area and choose to sell his home and move after 8 years of his residence. On another note, even though they are many developments popping up frequently, they are providing sidewalks on a busy street we live near, so that is a huge bonus if you have children. Overall, Lynnwood is a desirable place to live for first time home owners and multi-families.
I love North Lynnwood, love that it is bustling and love that the community I live in has lots of families and great schools for kids nearby.
I do worry that since it is bustling and about to boom, that the area will become hard for low-income families to settle in as rent increases and our school district improves.
