I love living in North Brunswick, as someone who has been a resident here since 2006. I've had a positive experience at their public schools, and am proud to graduate from NBTHS this year! North Brunswick Township public schools have a very diverse student body, and students of all backgrounds and identities are celebrated. It's a great place to be amongst kind, open-minded people. There are also many places to shop and dine. The only criticism I have is there aren't a lot of places to hang out in North Brunswick. You have to get creative if you want to socialize.
This is a wonderful town for raising a family in a diverse environment. We are
a Minority Majority town, where no one ethnic group is in the majority. This diversity leads to exceptional cultural opportunities (especially in dining), a welcoming school system, and a political environment which represents all races and faiths. Mayor womack and his team have done a great job of keeping property taxes low while keeping amenities top-notch. We have many parks, a splendid library, Senior Citizen housing and centers. Because of our community, we also have grocery stores of every description, including a Trader Joe's, a Lidl, ShopRite and Asian and Indian markets.
We are right next to the Rutgers-New Brunswick campuses, and have easy access to the Turnpike and Princeton. I addition, we will have a brand new train station on the Northeast Corridor Line by 2015, with travel all along the East Coast, particularly NYC, Trenton and Philly.
My only unhappiness is light pollution and traffic.

I love the diversity in North Brunswick. It has allowed me to meet distinct people. There is diversity in culture, interests, and goals. One of my friends is Jewish-Catholic and I am a South Asian American. We teach each other about our cultures and our holidays. Growing up in this town has allowed me to feel like a global citizen. I experience many distinct cultures and people are happy to teach other people about it.
Because of this, there is a strong community in North Brunswick. We all have equal respect for each other despite any differences. It is a supportive community that will always help each other in need. It is very special and rare to be in an environment like this. I am eternally grateful for growing up here because it has made me strong and aware of others' issues. I have learned valuable lessons from living in this town.
