North Arlington Reviews
Being almost 16 and living in North Arlington my whole life, I know a lot about my community. While the side towards Lyndhurst is a lot nicer than the side more towards Kearny, I love where I live. Living right near the border of Lyndhurst, the walk to the end of North Arlington by Kearny is less than 45 minutes. We have a small town, and have a developed a good community. While some things have changed for the worse in the past few years, it doesn’t deter me from loving NA. We are an hour from the beach, an hour from the mountains, and 15 minutes from New York City, with no traffic. We have different cultures in North Arlington. I feel that there is no “minority.” There are fair opportunities for all, and it is just a great town.
North Arlington is just your average urban neighborhood. I've grown up in North Arlington for almost all my life and I can't really complain. It's a quiet town for the most part, with some occasional minor festivities and events. North Arlington isn't widely recognized for much, besides Holy Cross Cemetery which is very large and makes up around an eighth of the town. However, despite my opinion, North Arlington was ranked eighth on a list of "Best Places to Live" in Money magazine's 2017 list.
I moved to North Arlington from the town next to it. It is a close-knit town with a family-like atmosphere. The schools are small however because of this students are able to get the attention they need to succeed. North Arlington High School was named of the best schools by US News as well. Moreover, it is a fairly small town that, for the most part, satisfies everyone's needs.
