Working in Normal
I moved here to attend Illinois State University and I have been very pleased with the environment here! There are many great restaurants within town and many fun things to do as well. There are a couple trampoline parks, movie theaters, colleges, festivals, etc. I would recommend Normal, IL to anyone!
I think Normal is a great family-friendly town that is a great place to settle down and raise a family. We have State Farm Headquarters, Country Financial Headquarters, Illinois State University and Illinois Wesleyan University. Most people work for one of these four entities, so diversity in employment opportunities is low outside of these four companies/schools.
Normal, Illinois is a great midwestern town. It is big enough to have almost any store, restaurant, or shopping option and at the same time it has a small town feel. There are even a few different college options within our town: Heartland Community College, Illinois State University, and Illinois Wesleyan University. The public school system is good and the town is well-maintained. It is a great place to raise a family!
