Working in Nocatee
There really is no other area like Nocatee in North Florida (or much of the country). With all of the open green space, walking paths, pools, parks, athletic fields/amenities, community events, A+ rated schools, friendly families, low crime, and beautiful new homes it's very special and can't be beat. Restaurants and closeby shopping is improving as the area grows. Truly a piece of heaven and blessed to live here!
If you're under the impression that living in FL is cheap, well Nocatee isn't it. Everything in this area, from the local supermarket to Dunkin is priced higher. A 10 min drive can save you 10 cents/gallon on gas. Add to that your AC system running almost year round, HOA and CDD fees and your cost of living adds up quick. Home prices are also very high. Big box stores or malls are all 25-35 minutes away minimum. Schools are so crowded they're adding portables all the time. Those are the cons. The pros are beautiful well maintained communities, excellent new schools, very family friendly and geared towards families. Weather is great and close to beaches but not so close you worry about hurricanes and flooding. Having moved here from the northeast, I love the FL roads. Almost no potholes.
Wonderful communities connected by miles of walking trails. Lots of family friendly activities. Close to the beach. Great public schools. Low cost of living. Little traffic. It’s a lifestyle here in Nocatee!
