Nipomo is a very small town with a population size roughly around 13,000 people. Nipomo consists of one grocery store, two high schools, and thousands of friendly happy faces. With being such a small community, everybody pitches in to make it a welcoming and loving little town. The town is safe, quite, and overall a perfect town to raise your children in. Not many people know about Nipomo, but if you did you would want to move out here as well! The weather is absolutely beautiful with a constant temperature of 73 degrees throughout most of the year. Nipomo is a small yet perfect little town that almost anybody would love.

I'm not sure how this place got such a high diversity score- there are only White and Latinos in this town. In the 2 years I've been living here I have only come across 8 dark skinned peoples & 10 Asians. People here in this town are VERY stuck up & VERY racist. Give them a smile and they look down at you, be non-white or non-Mexican & not only do they stare at you while driving, walking, etc. but they won't even say hi. It's a small town that seems to respect military & patriotism but if you don't go to their little town parades it's another reason for them to hate- too bad this little black girl they treat so rudely served this great country so they can continue to be openly ignorant & racist. No sidewalks, public transit on one side of town, & the only grocery store in town is Vons so it's expensive. Plenty of fast food, one liquor store, & 3 banks. There are 7 different churches in town & one medical clinic. There is a great sushi surprisingly!
I lived in Nipomo for 23 years, raised my family here. I like the close knit community as well as the schools. I enjoy knowing my neighbors and local businesses owners. The shopping could expand in this area as we have only one grocery store and our town is growing! Nipomo is not far from bigger cities like Santa Maria,San Luis Obispo and Arroyo Grande. Travel time to these cities is no more than 20 minutes away. Their is some recreational activities year round, like Octoberfest, car shows, farmers market and even a cruise night which allowed us to bring out our vintage car. Overall Nipomo is a great place to live, located in a great area on the Central Coast, the weather couldn't be better and the people are family orientated!
