I am from NC and lived where the roads were always congested and complete stop and go traffic to get through city lights. Living in Nicholson has been so ideal and commutable for class, work, family, shopping and so much more.
i sit right in between to bypasses so it is easy to hop on the road and drive without stop and go. So much land and so much to see and live, its still a growing a area but i have started to dig my roots and plan to stay locally. Love my college cant wait to send my own kids to the schools in the area.

The crime rate around where i live is fairly okay. Some of the main concerns that have arise from the past few years are the increasing drug rates of drug abuse and trafficking. From just now graduating from my school it seemed that almost every kid in each of my classes, almost 45% of the students had experienced some type of drug from weed, pills, or even harder drugs. through out my four years in high school drugs just in school have been a big deal that my school had trouble controlling. When my junior year came about it seemed that the school authorities practically gave up on keeping the kids in my school from going down a bad path and helping control the drug abuse just on campus. by the time my senior year came around almost half the students i grew up with either dropped out because of drugs or either became pregnant and finally couldn't do it anymore and dropped out. so i would say that safety in my are is fairly okay but could really use some change through out the schools.
For me living in my area, there is not much change. The people here just live day to day doing the same things in life and not truly living happy with theirs lives. To me in order to live a happy life you have to go through changes in life where you are willing to experience and make a difference. In my area everybody seems to be content with following in the footsteps of others and not truly making a change in the community and actually experiencing LIFE.
