Niangua Township Reviews
The area in which I live is known as Tornado Alley and we deal with tornado warnings annually. In 2003, our community was hit with a tornado that took several lives and destroyed several homes. Our community has also provided relief for surrounding areas such as Joplin, Mo. Another, common natural disaster is drought. Due to the fact that our community's economy is strongly linked to agriculture, droughts often impact our farmers and agricultural businesses.
Living on the lake we prospser in our food and drink restaurants. We have many bar and grills around the lake that offer late night food for out of towners and locals. We have a restuarants called, "Tres Hombres" that is opened during the winter for locals. A restaurant for tourist we have restaurant called, "The Fish" it offers gift iteams for trourist to buy as souviners.
There is an abundance of activities for our tourist from boating, fishing, shopping, and parks. However, there are limited activities for our local youth in the off season. I do feel blessed to live in this community because of its natural beauty and welcoming atmosphere.
