I live in Niagara there is 2 years. Niagara was industrial city till years 40. Them all factories closed in the 50. Population was 160000. today is just 45 000. Is not best in crime. But I consider the crime depend where you go in the city. Some areas are not good. You must to know it. But real dangerous crime not. Some people will ask you for money in the main st. Most people crazy but good people. The population and city hall are very sweet, flexible and happy. Here you feel like a country side people. In this moment the west side near the river will change a lot. New York State give 50 million to take out the highway between niagara state park and whirlpool park. Also blue cardinal company bought 40 building in main st. The train from Toronto will come to the falls train station. This will change a lot. Very rich city in architecture.

Friendly neighbors, mostly maintained roads and grass areas. There are plenty of parks and recreational areas to visit, especially the actual falls! Would like to see the water board clean up their act!
I was born and raised in Niagara Falls. I would say that the overall experience growing up here was pretty good. Growing up here, there was always things for us to do. There were always fun events such as carnivals and festivals. I would say if I could improve something about my city, I think that there should be more events such as the ones I had when I was growing up. Thy should create more extracurricular activities for the youth. This will keep them busy and having clean fun. It will help keep them out of trouble an create great memories.
