I lived in Newport beach for about a year. I absolutely loved the area and all the cute shops and obviously can't forget about the beach! I'm a college student so I never really had all the money that usual people in Newport beach had. Some of the people that live in Newport can be snooty which was something that made me a little uncomfortable. I loved living in Newport for a year but I would rather live in an area that has more people my age, not so much older adults.

Newport Beach is a wealthy and safe area, I've lived here for 2 years. Many top-notch restaurants, big-time companies, and luxury car dealerships are located here. I always hang out at coffee shops here when I have nothing to do or nowhere to go just bring a laptop and sit there all day. The weather is great not too humid during the day and just a little chilly at night because it is by the coast. Perfect vacation destination, most people are friendly except sometimes might be stuck-up because they might think that they're superior because they live in Newport Beach haha.
Growing up in Newport Beach, CA was one of the best experiences a child could ever have. I was very fortunate to be raised in this environment. However, upon returning from college, I noticed things that I previously was ignorant too. With Newport Beach being an affluent city, it is no surprise that the people within it have a tendency to be a bit pretentious. With a majority of these pretentious people I am referring to coming from extreme wealth and never having to work a day in their lives, it seems as if these people hold onto these attitudes because deep down they have never worked for anything in their lives so they put people down to feel better than everyone else.
