I would say Newark, AR is about like your average town. I moved to Newark at the end of 1993 from California. That was a culture shock. But I love the small town feel here. Everyone knows everyone and usually many are related to others in the town. Crime is usually very low, but the drug use in the town and surrounding towns is a downside. I like how my sisters and I live so close to each other. So my kids can go play with their cousins and other friends in town.
Its a small town situated between Newport and Batesville. Its one of those kind of towns where pretty much everyone knows everybody. Its not even large enough to even have any stoplights. There are two primary streets everyone travels on but really its just a pit stop for those traveling from batesville or newport and going to even smaller towns around newark.
