It is a nice little town with the usual quirks and oddities, but otherwise, a pleasant enough place to live. The local government needs to do a better job at upkeeping the roads and the school system needs a serious overhaul, but those are topics the populace decides through elections.

I have loved growing up in a small town. I love the feel of a small town and the safe feeling of living in the country. It has been a great experiencing growing up here, overall.
New Lexington has very good schools, but not much after school activities for children. Most of the neighborhoods streets are not well maintained by the city or the residents. Most job opportunities and family activities are in neighboring cities like Lancaster and Zanesville, which are both 30 minutes away.
