It’s a good place to live. Family friendly, supportive, and welcome. Many traditional activities. Constantly growing, and extending. I have lived here my entire live and would continue to live here. Just big enough that everyone doesn’t know everyone. Great schools which class rooms are decent size

New Lenox is not the same town I grew up in. It was small, friendly, and family oriented. Now it has grown too large with traffic congestion, lots of junk shops along Rt. 30, and has lost its small town feel. Having left there five years ago was the best thing. Now, most my family and many friends have left or are leaving too.
The mayor runs the Triple Play "Drunkfests" each summer where a lovely, long-time couple from NL donated and built a beautiful outdoor theater to be used for community events. From what I understand, this "production business" is his own in which he benefits monetarily. Is this crooked or what?
New Lenox is amazing! There is no place with a Mayor that is more involved. If he were Governor, our State wouldn't be such a disaster! This is the best town for families, with great schools and almost no crime.
