New Lenox is a pretty boring town -- not much going on. With the very little shopping experiences and 3 grocery stores...it isn't all that. If looking for a place to live, consider suburbs close to NL for more leisure activities!

New Lenox is fantastic! The sense of community is amazing. The beautification of the Commons and the events the town arranges every year are huge benefits to all residents. The police department is great. The library offers events for all ages. The neighborhoods are very safe and the schools are unbeatable
I like New Lenox overall, it is a family orientated community. The grade schools and high schools are excellent and have teachers that really care about their students. I attend a state of the art high school that many people mistake for a community college. I'm interested in science and we have excellent labs in our classrooms. The town itself lacks a variety of entertainment. We have a movie theatre and only a few restaurants that are above a fast food level. We need more choices for evening entertainment. We are located near expressways so that is convenient for traveling to different communities. There is a decent amount of shopping in our town. We have many chain stores and eateries. As far as jobs go most people seem to leave the town for professional corporate level jobs. We have two train stations that go into two different areas of downtown Chicago. Overall New Lenox has provided me with a great place to grow up and receive a quality education.
